Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Originally a fort built by the U.S. Army in 1838 during the Second Seminole War, Fort Lauderdale welcomes visitors with broad, palm-fringed beaches and an easy pace of life. Stroll along fashionable Las Olas Boulevard with its stylish shops or enjoy a sightseeing cruise through the city's canals, boasting more waterways than Venice. Or, venture out and explore the cosmopolitan city of Palm Beach, or the wildlife sanctuary of the Everglades.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Charlotte Amalie is the Danish-flavored capital where it's fun to stroll and shop, especially if you're a U.S. citizen with double duty-free allowances. Hop a ferry to the nearby island of St. John, to snorkel or walk the nature trails, or head over to Magens Bay resort, listed as one of the world's most beautiful beaches.

Basseterre, St. Kitts
Basseterre was picked by the British in 1727 to be the colonial capital, and over the years the city has prospered. With a population of about 15,000, Basseterre is St. Kitts largest and only true city. It is a mixture of things past and present, the focal point being the West Indian architecture - arched doors and balonies detailed in lattice. You will find an eclectic assortment of upscale shps aimed directly at tourists amid dusty stores selling home appliances to islanders. If your stay here extends through lunch, you will feel the unpretentious charm of this destination as you see the narrow sidewalks fill up with islanders in business attire and visitors dressed in shorts and T-shirts.

Bridgetown, Barbados
The Bajan British accent is very distinctive, reflecting both the Scepter'd Isle and the lovely one they live on. Barbados still has lovely parish churches, great manor houses and a proper Trafalgar Square along with white-sugar beaches and waving fields of cane.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Dutch St. Maarten is a great place to stop just to shop. Its capital is Philipsburg and fills a narrow stretch of land between Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond. It is a bustling center of international trade with lively shopping streets, cafes, and hotels. Strangely enough it has two main streets called Front Street and Back Street. On Front Street, which is the main thoroughfare, duty-free shops line the road as far as the eye can see. These duty-free shops offer everything from Italian leather goods and Japanese cameras to native crafts. Don't be afraid to venture the alleyways that will lead you to arcades and courtyards filled with flowers. The Courthouse is the most prominent landmark on Front Street. It is a grand white wooden structure topped with a cupola built in 1793. Front Street also includes the Simartin Museum so that visitors can get and excellent introduction to local St. Maartin history. There are also historical forts that are monuments to Philipsburg's strategic importance in St. Maarten's history. Philipsburg has not been left behind in the time, however. It has combined its historical legacy with 20th century excitement. Since its waterfront has become a popular stop for cruise ships, the shore of this town is covered with restaurants, cafes and nightclubs that offer entertainment well into the night.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises

Since its inception in 1989, Celebrity has held true to its original commitment of taking the very best aspects of classic, elegant cruising and updating them to reflect current lifestyles. In 1997, we merged with Royal Caribbean International to form Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

What sets Celebrity apart from other vacation choices today is the cruise line's passionate dedication to providing guests with a cruise experience that exceeds expectations. This has become the definition of Celebrity Cruises, and has set the worldwide standard for today's expression of what first made cruising famous -- high quality, superior design, spacious accommodations, grand style, attentive service and exceptional cuisine.

Celebrity Cruises' iconic "X" is the mark of modern luxury, with its cool, contemporary design and warm spaces; dining experiences where the design of the venues is as important as the cuisine; and the amazing service that only Celebrity can provide, all created to provide an unmatchable experience for vacationers' precious time. In 2011 the Solstice-class welcomed Celebrity Silhouette, and in 2012 Celebrity Reflection debuted. Together with the rest of the fleet these ships will demonstrate why Celebrity is the epitome of modern luxury.
