Family and kid's clubs

Rock up to The Reef! With age-specific clubs, a night nursery, a boatload of activities and enthusiastic Reef Rangers on hand, The Reef is the place to be for under 18s.

Our exciting free on-board programme for 2-17 year olds is called The Reef. Split into four age groups, there are a whole host of exciting activities organised daily by our enthusiastic and well qualified Reef Rangers to keep children of all ages entertained safely throughout the day and evening, and to ensure that they have the chance to make friends of their own age. We really have thought of everything, so why not let us take the stress out of family holidays.

Age groups are:

  • Splashers 2-4 year olds - Qualified youth staff provide a full programme of age-specific activities.

  • Surfers 5-8 year olds - Qualified Reef Rangers provide activities, adventure, games and sport coaching sessions.

  • Scubas 9-12 year olds - Children this age can either join in the organised games with the specialist Reef Rangers or simply hang out with friends in the chill out areas.

Night nursery

The Night Nursery is a complimentary service available for children aged between 6 months and 4 years of age, and is open from 6pm to 2am nightly. The latest time children may be checked in to the Night Nursery is 11pm. A quiet area is created to enable an infant to sleep and parents are contacted via a pager, should their infant wake. Room temperatures and frequent checks are made and recorded.

Please note that for all kids' clubs including the night nursery allocation is on a first come first served basis due to limited spaces available.

There are also helpful suggestions in the menu on how best to match your chosen wine with the food you order. Drinks Packages

A range of drinks packages can be purchased on board including wine, soft drink and coffee packages.

From Coffee to Cocktails

Tea and Coffee Around the Clock

You will find a kettle, cups, saucers and teaspoons as well as teabags, various coffee sachets, sugar and milk in your cabin. This will be stocked up when necessary by your cabin steward. Tea and coffee is also available free from the buffet area. Alternatively the teapigs range is available to buy in select coffee shops, bars and pubs. Costa coffee can be purchased from Java and Grab & Go outlets.

Raffles Bar

The name Raffles is synonymous with sophistication and elegance and the rich wood paneling, marble flooring and luxurious leather padded bar live up to the bar's name. A great place to enjoy a tempting tipple or a specialist (Costa) coffee.

Champions' Bar

If you just want to socialise, catch up with friends over a few bevvies, or carry off the cup in a pub quiz, touch down in Champions. For lovers of all things sporting, it's a slam dunk. It's the place to enjoy a drink while celebrating all things great about British sport.

The Glass House

Enthusiastic, award-winning wine expert and self-proclaimed foodie, Olly Smith is known for his exuberant TV appearances and writes a weekly wine column for The Mail on Sunday. This stylish, relaxed restaurant and bar offers an informal menu of steak and seafood. With wines selected by Olly Smith, find the perfect match for each course and drink in those sea views!

The Crow's Nest

At 105 feet above the waterline, this stylish cocktail bar is higher than the bridge and affords the ship's most amazing views. By day you can watch the glistening sea as the world floats by in this comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. As evening draws in The Crow's Nest comes into its own; with a light tickling of the ivories to set the mood, there's no better vantage point from which to enjoy a dramatic sunset at sea.

Pool Bars

Our pool bars offer a casual place to socialise and relax in throughout the day and into the evening. On a hot day nothing is better than lounging by one of our pools, sipping a cool drink, or two, and feeling yourself completely unwind.

Charlie's

The place to be seen on Aurora, Charlie's offers a cool place to relax. Charlie's is midships on the port side of Promenade Deck, just off Mayfair Court. An elegant baby grand sets the mood in this stylish Champagne bar, as tiny rock-crystal lenses on the ceiling create a glittering starry effect - the perfect complement to the Champagne sparkling in your glass. On a typical 14-night cruise aboard Aurora, 650 bottles of Champagne are consumed and you can be sure a large percentage of these are enjoyed in Charlie's.

Anderson's

Traditional sofas, bookcases and panelled walls create a very British ambience and the feel of an exclusive country club. You will find Anderson's on Promenade Deck. Welcoming and elegant and ideally located next to the Curzon Theatre, its refined setting is perfect for a pre-show drink or a warming nightcap. The bar is named after Arthur Anderson, the founder of P&O, who is said to have had an amazing attention to detail. So we certainly believe he would have approved of the long bar, the ornate fireplace and the traditional artworks.

Raffles Court

A wonderful area to meet up with new friends for a mid-afternoon break or after dinner drink, the court offers lovely views of the atrium and its' 35 foot centre-piece sculpture. Comfortable sofas and chairs, in conjunction with soft lighting, create a relaxing ambience. Raffles Court also offers access to Vanderbilt's card room and Sindhu.
